THE SAFE MANAGEMENT OF RADIOACTIVE WASTE: CONTEMPORARY IAEA ACTIVITIES

ANNOTATION:

The IAEA Committee on safety standards for radioactive waste (WASSC) carries out the rationale for the safety criteria for human and environment protection from the effects of ionizing radiation on all stages of radioactive waste management. This article examines matters relating to the organization of the IAEA activities in the development of safety standards, document development workflow and analysis of the Committee WASSC activities in cycle of 2014—2017 years.
