Aleksandrova, P.A. Blokhin, A.A. Samoylov, A.V. Kuryndin ANNOTATION: At the current time, there is an active development of the Unified State System for Radioactive Waste Management and the reform of the established radioactive waste’s practice of management in accordance with the new requirements provided by the Federal Law "Management of Radioactive Waste and Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation." One of the principal changes is the need for the burial of generated radioactive waste. This requirement makes certain demands to all of the processes of radioactive waste management, including their certification. In the Russian Federation, the practice of monitoring radionuclides in radioactive waste is aimed at the personnel radiation safety assurance, nuclear safety, and control over losses of marketable products during all operation stages. Given that, the list of radionuclides which determine the hazard of waste at a different time and different stages of radioactive waste management may be different, this fact is necessary to analyze how the current practice corresponds to the new conditions for waste management.Within the framework of this article, a list of radionuclides which have to be determined in radioactive waste from nuclear power plants is considered on the basis of the international radionuclide vector method application practice and the analysis of the foreign experience of the safety justification of radioactive waste disposal facilities Keywords: radioactive waste (RW), disposal of radioactive waste, regulatory acts, long-term safety of disposal facilities, Unites State System of Radioactive Waste Management, composition of radioactive waste DOWNLOAD (EN) » DOWNLOAD (RU) » Alexandrova T.
