INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION IN RADIOACTIVE WASTE DISPOSAL IN CRYSTALLINE ROCKS (CRYSTALLINE CLUB)

The paper presents some materials of the second meeting of the Crystalline Club (CRC/IGSC/NEA OECD). It considers the phases of construction and operation of the Underground Research Laboratory placed in a crystalline rock using Mizunami URL (Japan) as an example. It also considers an important problem dealing with transport modeling in the fractured rock. Real data from an experiment are used to build a stochastic discrete fracture network (DFN). Migration of radionuclides is modelled both within DFN and within equivalent pore medium following DFN.
