STUDYING THE PARAMETERS OF A GEOLOGICAL ROCK MASS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND OPERATION OF AN UNDERGROUND RESEARCH FACILITY AT THE YENISEYSKIY SITE IN THE KRASNOYARSK REGION

ANNOTATION:

he article presents the milestones in the investigation of siting conditions seeking to assess the feasibility of establishing a deep disposal facility for radioactive waste (DGR) at the Yeniseiskiy site. It considers certain findings from the first stage of an additional study focused on the DGR siting conditions carried out in 2019—2021 implemented under the Strategy for DGR Development. The paper also summarizes the key focus areas provided for further studies of siting conditions in the area and the site proposed for DGR construction under the geological exploration performed at the exploration stage of the project.
