Panchenko ANNOTATION: The article evaluates current legal framework regulating soil management at industrial sites with chemical contamination, in particular, soil removal and assigning it the status of production and consumption waste. It considers some features specific for the methods applied for soil categorization and waste classification, as well as waste management options as referred to their use at nuclear facilities and introduces some proposals for their adjustment.
