ANNOTATION:

The article discusses the key features associated with the development of a digital twin (DT) for a small-sized direct Joule heating melter designed by PA Mayak, which also describes a set of mathematical models constituting to the digital twin of the product and reflecting the relationship between the models and their development flowchart. The article presents the key performance characteristics of the considered melter, the data on which were required to develop the DT. Vitrification units are complex high-tech industrial products involving multiple interconnected physical processes. The article touches upon the advantages of digital platforms and their application in the context of automated collection and exchange of data between the computer models. The paper considers the application of the CML-Bench® CPU developed at SPbPU as such a digital platform.
