ANALYSIS OF THE RW CERTIFICATION PRACTICE IN THE CONTEXT OF LONG-TERM SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

This article briefly overviews the radioactive waste certification practice established in the Russian Federation outlining the regulatory requirements governing this process. It also analyses actual radioactive waste package certificates with an emphasis on the long-term safety of disposal facilities proposed for their future disposal.
